Helping One In Need
Candice East is a Pulaski resident whose health issues necessitated a liver transplant during the summer of 2024. Since then, she’s continued to experience complications including serious rejection symptoms. Blue Ridge Vocal Connection (BRVC) and Dublin Baptist Church (DBC) members are joining together to invite you to help Candice meet her ongoing expenses.
That's why we're hosting a public hot dog dinner on Saturday, June 21, at Dublin Baptist Church, 100 Hawkins St., Dublin, VA at 4 pm, followed by a 6 pm concert by Blue Ridge Vocal Connection. Generous sponsors have already donated fantastic door prizes (including a flat screen TV!) and underwritten the expenses for the dinner to ensure that all proceeds generated go directly to Candice. Donations will be accepted before, and throughout, this event.
You must register for the door prizes in advance and be present to win. To register (or donate), visit blueridgevocalconnection.com and follow the appropriate links. You must register before 6:15 p.m. on June 21. If you can’t attend, but would still like to donate, just follow the link on the blueridgevocalconnection.com page.
Follow this link for more information about Candice East: https://www.facebook.com/candice.east.
Please note, per IRS regulations governing “gift income”, these donations are not tax deductible.

Creative Reuse Northside collects items for reuse in the container in the hallway at church. These go to the Creative Reuse Center in the children's Museum in Christiansburg. They are gifted to teachers and community members. Please refer to the sign near the container that lists items that are accepted and not accepted. This is a great service to our community.

Lemonade on the Lawn We are now well into lemonade on the lawn. This requires one to set out a table, put out the lemonade (found in the refrigerator in the kitchen) and cups, and clean up. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for those who want to help with this fellowship event.
There are open dates in July and August. Thanks to those who already signed up. |
